Romaniv’s editorial responsibility rests with Fatima Lafkiri. Our purpose is to publish recipes that a home cook can understand and use, with accurate ingredients, a logical method and explanations that make a difference in the kitchen.
Testing and recipe responsibility
Fatima tests recipes before publication; contributors bring recipes tried in their own homes. The person preparing a recipe checks quantities, sequence and the intended result. A claim that a particular variation has been tested should only appear when it has actually been cooked. An untested substitution must not be presented as a guaranteed equivalent.
What a useful recipe explains
Measurements should identify the amount, including the weight or volume of packaged ingredients where relevant. Instructions should distinguish preparation, cooking, cooling and resting. We aim to explain visual or texture cues as well as timings, because equipment and ingredient size affect the result. Troubleshooting should address the actual dish rather than repeat generic advice.
Language and cultural context
Each text is reviewed in its publication language. Translation must preserve quantities, temperatures and the meaning of the method. We distinguish a traditional preparation from an adaptation and avoid describing every interpretation as the only authentic version. Our three language collections may contain different recipes.
Sources, photography and assistance
We publish original work and authorised contributions. Credits should distinguish the original creator from an editor or translator. Artificial intelligence may support ideas and wording in some content, but it does not replace human review or cooking, and it must not be used to invent personal experience, qualifications or test results. Permissions and concerns are covered on our sources and image rights page.
Safety and nutritional information
Cooking articles are general information, not individual medical or dietary advice. Readers should check ingredient labels for allergens and use reliable food-safety guidance where appropriate. If nutritional estimates are supplied, they should identify their estimated nature; brands, portions and substitutions can change them. We do not invent nutritional figures or reader ratings.
Corrections and updates
Report a problem to contact@romaniv.online with the page address and the detail that needs checking. We assess the report against the recipe and available evidence. A material correction to quantities, safety information or the method should be made clear on the article; small spelling or formatting corrections do not require a separate notice. Publication dates must not be changed merely to make old material appear newly tested.
Advertising and editorial independence
Advertising supports the free site. It does not determine whether a recipe succeeds or the advice we give. Romaniv currently has no affiliate sales links. An advertisement is not an editorial endorsement, and commercial contributions, if introduced, must be identified. Meet the contributors or read about Romaniv.
