About Romaniv

Romaniv is an independent, personally owned food publication by Fatima Lafkiri. We share recipes for home kitchens in English, German and Italian, with a focus on family meals, traditional dishes and clear, practical instructions.

A home kitchen at the heart of Romaniv

Fatima has cooked at home for years and tests the recipes she publishes. Her aim is to explain not only what to do, but what to look for: how a mixture should feel, when a sauce needs more time and which changes can affect the result. Recipes should help readers cook with more confidence, whatever their level of experience.

The people who contribute

Sofia, a home cook in Italy, and Maria, a home cook in Germany, contribute their experience of family and traditional cooking. Other collaborators contribute through the Romaniv team. We respect contributors who prefer not to publish a portrait or additional personal details. Our contributors page explains their roles without inventing professional qualifications.

Three languages, a shared approach

Content is reviewed in its publication language before it goes live. Our collections can differ between languages; not every recipe is a translation of another page. Where a translated version exists, the language links help readers find it. Ingredient names, measurements and cooking instructions deserve the same attention as the wording.

Original work and permission to share

Most of our recipes and photographs are our own. Fatima also shares work on social platforms, so its appearance elsewhere does not necessarily mean it belongs to a different creator. A smaller proportion comes from contributors who have given permission by email or platform message. We retain permission records and identify outside contributions where appropriate. See sources and image rights for details and rights enquiries.

Useful explanations, accountable editing

We value precise quantities, readable steps and advice that solves a real cooking problem. Artificial intelligence is sometimes used for ideas or editorial assistance; the human contributors remain responsible for the recipe and its review. We do not present generated suggestions as evidence of having cooked a dish. Our editorial standards explain testing, corrections and attribution.

A free publication

Romaniv is free to read. We do not sell products or use affiliate sales links. Advertising helps support the site and is separate from editorial decisions. For questions or corrections, write to contact@romaniv.online. Ownership and our correspondence address appear in publisher information.
